About Johnson's Hearing Centers

Johnson’s Hearing Centers is a privately owned hearing center located in Inverness, Daytona Beach, and Titusville FL. Owned and operated by Hearing Instrument Specialist, Holly Johnson, we are dedicated to providing a wide range of hearing services to people of all ages. Before opening Johnson’s Hearing Centers, Holly owned and operated several successful hearing centers in Ohio. She knew she wanted to continue helping people hear better but she was tired of the Ohio winters, so she decided to relocate to Florida. Now, she is able to help the people of Inverness and the surrounding communities experience better hearing health while enjoying the sunshine state.

Holly A. Johnson, BC-H.I.S.

Owner | Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist

Holly Johnson, Owner and Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist, has over 25 years of experience helping the hearing impaired. With state licenses in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, she has witnessed the advancements in hearing aid technology firsthand. Holly previously established several successful hearing aid centers in Northeast Ohio before relocating to Florida to pursue her dream of assisting people with hearing loss while avoiding harsh winters. Through Johnson’s Hearing Centers, she aims to improve the lives of individuals by finding tailored solutions that suit their lifestyle.

Holly conducts Lunch and Learn seminars to raise awareness about the importance of hearing and offers a personalized approach to fitting hearing aids. Additionally, she actively engages with the community through visits to senior and community centers in Inverness, FL, to address communication and hearing difficulties.

Holly maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. She stays busy as a growing business owner and mother to her son, Scott. Outside of work, she enjoys boating, line dancing, and karaoke.

Lindsey Kummerer, Au.D., CCC-A

Doctor of Audiology

Lindsey Kummerer, Au.D., CCC-A, is a board-certified audiologist who is dedicated to improving communication for patients of all ages with hearing loss.  Dr. Kummerer believes in treating more than just the hearing loss with amplification by providing continued counseling and support for patients and their loved ones during their hearing healthcare journey. 

Dr. Kummerer graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2015.  After working a few years at a fertility clinic, Dr. Kummerer decided to go back to school to pursue her dream of working in audiology.  Dr. Kummerer graduated with her doctorate of audiology from the University of South Florida (USF) in 2023 after completing her clinical residency at Island Audiology in Honolulu and Vitale Ear, Nose & Throat in Wesley Chapel. Dr. Kummerer is currently continuing her education and interests in research by pursuing a Ph.D. at USF in communication sciences and disorders.  Her research focuses include individual differences in cocktail party listening, speech-in-noise difficulties and perception, as well as subclinical hearing loss.

Dr. Kummerer looks forward to welcoming both adults and children at Johnson’s Hearing Center to help improve their quality of life by providing valuable hearing healthcare.

Valerie Rivera

Hearing Instrument Specialist and Sales Manager

Valerie D. Rivera started her career in the hearing industry back in 2007 in Colorado.  She then moved to Florida in 2010 and decided to pursue her hearing aid license to help the hearing impaired. Valerie now has over 16 years of experience helping the hearing-impaired community and enjoys her career. Valerie enjoys living in Paradise 365 days a year of sunshine. She spends time going back to Colorado twice a year to see family, boating, riding a motorcycle with her significant other of 12 years, and spending quality time with her family and friends and her two fur babies.

Cathy McDermott

Hearing Aid Specialist

Cathy McDermott is from Newburgh, New York, and now lives in Palm Coast Florida. She attended the University of Florida and resided for over 15 years as a proud owner/operator of her own hearing center.  While Cathy aimed for higher education, her nephew was born with cleft palate, resulting in conductive hearing loss. This is what led her to have her love of the hearing industry. Helping the hearing impaired is extremely rewarding for Cathy. She has a passion for innovation and is committed to applying it to help make wonderful sounds a part of everyone’s life. There is nothing more rewarding to her than seeing someone regain the miracle of hearing and watching them thrive.

Isabel Kane, Director of Operations at Johnson’s Hearing Center

Isabel Kane

Director of Operations

Isabel Kane is the Director of Operations for Johnson’s Hearing Center. She was born in Boynton Beach, Florida, and grew up in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. Isabel is a focused individual with a constant learning attitude, is fluent in Spanish, and is considered a Business Specialist. She has spent the last decade as a Director of Operations and insurance specialist with a financial advising agency in Tampa, helping clients become financially independent. She is well versed in helping start-up companies establish procedures to help grow their business efficiently and effectively.

She enjoys playing the piano, spending time with her family, and traveling around the country. She lives with her partner, their plethora of cats, and their Great Pyrenees, Anubis.

Leanna Williams

Office Administrator

Leanna Williams is the office administrator helping with all of the behind-the-scenes procedures. She has a background in home health aide, medical billing and coding, and customer service/ marketing. She brings a wide variety of talents to help balance and help wherever is necessary. As a Florida native she looks forward to continue helping the community around her. She also looks forward to what the future will hold in ever growing knowledge with helping with hearing aids. 

How We Give Back to Our Community

Although new to Florida, Holly is actively involved in the community. She provides Lunch and Learn seminars and visits senior centers, community centers, and other living facilities to provide educational information on hearing health. Johnson’s Hearing Centers is also a proud member of the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce.
